Under $100: Block Heels

In 1965, Roger Vivier launched a new shoe silhouette down the runways of YSL. Onto the catwalk stepped a large square heel, known as the Pilgrim pump. The Pilgrim pump was instantly embraced by women everywhere and began transitioning into its slightly more towering version, now known to all as the legendary block heel. Finally a sexy shoe had arrived that gave us stunning stiletto heights without the wiggly wobble. A shoe that would actually power us through a whole work day with a modicum of comfort. Today’s block heel has only gained in ferocity, as it’s chunky colorful range of styles and sillhoutes has  created the most treasured fashion phenomenon:  beauty with ease.  Here’s my salute to the most comfortable struts you’ll ever take, and all for under $100!
