I can't be the only one who's inexplicably excited about Disney's Beauty and the Beast, which releases in theaters tomorrow. The music, the 18th-century France setting, Belle's sweeping buttercup-yellow ball gown, the fact that Dan Stevens (Matthew on Downton Abbey) plays the Beast…it all has me suspended in a romantic reverie that I can't quite shake. And here's where this flight of fancy has landed me: in a little enchanted kingdom of fairy tale–inspired jewels. Some of the references below are literal, while others offer a subtle nod to the whimsy—and princess-centric themes—of the fairy-tale canon, with a tiara here, a sprinkling of pixie dust there…
